Internal Quality Assurance Cell:

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell ensures the development of quality parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution.The quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution’s system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.

Objectives:

  • The IQAC enhance the quality of students and faculty through constant motivation by providing excellent ambience for learning.
  • To adopt innovative methods of teaching learning process and collaborate with industry.
  • The IQAC monitors the quality performance of academic and administrative activities.

Functions:

  • The IQAC ensures the maximum utilization of laboratories and ICT resources.
  • The IQAC ensures the subject allocation at the beginning of the semester and also the syllabus coverage regularly.
  • The IQAC conducts academic audit twice in a year
  • The IQAC assesses review of student performance.
  • The IQAC ensures the proper implementation of academic calendar.
  • The IQAC conducts regular meetings to discuss various measures related to quality enhancement in which the recommendations made by  Board of Studies, Academic Council and Governing Body are discussed and analyzed for further improvement.
  • The IQAC gives suggestions to feedback analysis committee to review the online and offline feedback received from students.
  • The IQAC forwards the appraisals of teaching and non-teaching staff to higher authorities after evaluation made by the head of the institution.
  • Attendance registers and teaching diaries are checked by IQAC daily.
  • The IQAC ensures the maximum utilization of library facilities both faculty and student community.
  • The IQAC ensures the automation and strengthening of Library.
  • The IQAC reviews the feedback received from the parent- teacher meetings.
  • The IQAC ensures the organizing seminars, conferences and workshops at department level as well as institution level.
  • It observes the extension and up gradation of classrooms and laboratories.
  • It monitors the better improvements in students’ supporting systems.
  • Finally, the IQAC is always forefront for the well-being of the institution in all aspects.

IQAC Vision/Mission

About IQAC

       To create and maintain quality of Education in Institutions is one of the major challenges of Higher Education. In order to institutionalize the process of quality enhancement, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established in our College in 2016. The IQAC is a Nodal Agency for monitoring the working of the Institution and is committed to overall quality enhancement in the Institution.

Vision

       To create an atmosphere of all round excellence in the Institution with the purpose of grooming academically sound and morally correct students.

Mission

       The IQAC ensures improvement in the Institution with the active cooperation of all the stakeholders. IQAC is expected to create healthy and meaningful academic practices in the Institution. Not only does it plan and implement the good academic practices but also measures the extent of its implementation.

Quality Policy

       UCET is committed to providing quality education through dedicated and talented faculty, world-class infrastructure and advanced laboratories to the students.

       The National Assessment and Accreditation Council advocate the establishment of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) by all the accredited institutions as a post accreditation quality sustenance activity. IQAC was established on 2016. Norms and guidelines of NAAC were followed while constituting the IQAC. It consists of representative of all stake holders as its members. The Dr. M. Umadevi, Principal, is the Chairperson of IQAC, while a senior Professor is a Coordinator. Teachers, expert members and representative of all stake holders are its members.

       The primary aim of the IQAC is to develop a quality system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution. With the following mission the IQAC of Universal College started functioning.

 

       Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activates of the institution. Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education. Organization of workshops, seminars and faculty development programmes on quality related themes and promotions of quality circles. Documentation of the various programme/activities leading to quality improvement.

CULTURAL CLUB

A cultural club is a club dedicated to spreading awareness, understanding, and appreciation of a particular culture, its people, diversity, and values.

Vision:

Cultural club focuses on promoting Indian culture and tradition through various cultural activities in the field of fine arts and also provide platform for the students to display their talents and learn and keep up the Indian heritage and culture and achieve cultural unity.

 Mission:

Our mission is to promote exposure and to increase the awareness of the students towards the fine arts of the world. The club also acts as a forum to improve one’s communication skills, expressivity and critical thinking power. Various enjoyable events are conducted under this club which not only entertain but also enrich our understanding of various different cultures and practices and introduce us to new exotic art forms from around the globe!

 Plan of action:

  • Locate latent talent of students and enhance through different activities
  • Make the students achieve an integration of their interest and abilities to achieve a wholesome personality
  • Enhance their concentration and capacity , focus on their work which would help them in their career
  • Provide pleasant stay on the campus with diverse activities

 FACILITIES

The facilities provided by the club are:

  • Well-equipped audio-video studio for recording,
  •  Musical instruments for practice and performances
  • A well equipped auditorium for practicing and showcasing performance.
  • Training from professionals to develop advanced skills and techniques for performing in cultural festivals.

Roles:

  • The cultural club of the college is expected to locate and enhance the creative talents of the students in fields, other than academics
  • The club is expected to create a pleasant ambience for the students on the campus to fill, delight in their study period.
  • The club helps the thought process of the students to participate in various activities simultaneously, to help their multitasking activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • The members of the committee are expected to attend monthly meetings regularly and participate in the discussions meaningfully
  • The faculty is expected to guide the students in the activities assigned to them.
  • The student members are expected to be available to the committee members as and when needed
  • All the members are expected work with unity and achieve the expected results for each activity planned by the club.

The cultural club consists of Dance club, Music club, Drama club, Fine arts club, Photography club etc

  • Students must undergo required training if necessary.
  • Weekly two hours to be allotted in the time table for practice sessions.
  • An additional timing should be allotted for rehearsals before the stage performance.
