DANCE CLUB

Dance, the movement of the body in a rhythmic way, usually to music and within a given space, for the purpose of expressing an idea or emotion, releasing energy, or simply taking delight in the movement itself.

Vision :

Our vision is to provide training in the field of dance and performing arts to all people with talent and passion; producing informed dancers, choreographers and art workers embracing the roots from which these art forms evolved. As well as a supportive environment for their performances.

Mission:

This dance club is to boost up the morale of students and to highlight the talent of dance and creativity. It provides opportunities to dance lovers to prove their talent and it is a good platform for them to have their artistic exploration. This club plays an important role in maintaining the positive environment in the college. By this Club, students get opportunities to represent our college in various reputed organizations.

 

Plan of action:

  • To encourage participation in dance events irrespective of  the student’s degree of talent.
  • To provide an opportunity to better the dancer in students through constant engagement and also through workshops conducted by professionals.
  •  To pick the best of dancers and form an efficient college dance team to perform during various occasions within the college when required, and consequently improving quality of performances staged by the team in various inter-collegiate fests. 
  • To introduce forms of dance that have been left unexplored in the institution. 
  • To form a team that would introduce the basics of  particular forms of dance to interested, under-privileged students .

 

Roles:

  • The dance club of the college is expected to locate and enhance the creative talents of the students in fields, other than academics
  • The club is expected to create a pleasant ambience for the students on the campus to fill, delight in their study period.
  • The club helps the thought process of the students to participate in various activities simultaneously, to help their multitasking activities.

Responsibilities:

  • The members of the committee are expected to attend monthly meetings regularly and participate in the discussions meaningfully
  • The faculty is expected to guide the students in the activities assigned to them.
  • The student members are expected to be available to the committee members as and when needed
  • All the members are expected work with unity and achieve the expected results for each activity planned by the club.
